The Brief

The client required an automated gate solution for a rural property where the main entrance is located far from the house. Due to the remote location, there was no access to mains power, limited site signal, and long-distance wiring was impractical. The objective was to design and install a reliable, fully automated gate system that could operate off-grid without compromising on security or ease of use.

What we did

To overcome the site's off-grid challenges, we installed a custom solar-powered automation system for the aluminium tubular swing gates. We fitted a heavy-duty DEA gate motor powered entirely by a dedicated solar setup, eliminating the need for complex trenching and mains power runs. For convenient access, we integrated multiple control options, including wireless remote controls and an outdoor keypad, allowing the homeowner to effortlessly operate the gates using clean solar energy.
